The wording is slightly ambiguous but it looks like Beri Lee of Stadia has announced that all games on the platform will have accessibility standards to meet.

As most games are cross platform that would obviously affect accessibility on other platforms too, and maybe it might even persuade other platforms to follow suit? If this means what it looks like then Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo are all playing catch-up.

While the list of considerations that could reasonably be required across all games isn't enormous some degree of requirements is certainly doable, the Sega Saturn had platform cert requirements for all games on the platform to have fully remappable controls and a mono audio toggle.
